The Pima County Attorney’s Office is committed to protecting children from online predators. Since 1999, The Pima County Attorney has dedicated resources to the Southern Arizona SAFE TEAM (Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement) is a collaborative effort to combat predators on the internet including the investigation and prosecution of individuals who utilize the internet to commit crimes, as well as to provide free internet safety training for members of our community.

The Safe Team, a multi-agency task force, consists of law enforcement officers from The Pima County Attorney’s Office, The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Tucson Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). The mission of the SAFE Team task force includes combating child pornography/child sexual exploitation and the use of the Internet and computer technology in these cases, child abductions, parental kidnappings (domestic and international) and sexually habitual offenders. The SAFE Team frequently performs undercover online investigations of federal, state and local cases in Southern Arizona as well as free Internet Safety presentations for adults, children or any group interested in staying safe online.
