The Pima County Attorney Criminal Investigation
Division consists of 24
highly skilled sworn Peace Officer
Detectives. These men and women provide
professional investigative support
services to all divisions of the
office. These services range from
conducting complex murder investigations
to supporting the innovative truancy program. Investigative services consists
of three separate units.
This
division provides an assigned Duty

Keith St. John , Detective Supervisor
The primary function of this unit is to assist the Criminal Division
trial team with case preparation. This may include such tasks as
conducting witness interviews, locating witnesses, serving search
warrants and providing witness protection. In addition the Detectives
of this Unit serve arrest warrants, conduct surveillance, serve
subpoenas and provide testimony when necessary.

Dennis Appleby, Detective Supervisor
This
Unit is comprised of Detectives that are
assigned
to various work groups and task forces. The
agencies they serve are the U.S. Drug Enforcement
Administration,
Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation SAFE
Team. The Detective assigned to the SAFE Team provides seminars and lectures
designed to protect children on the internet. A warrant enforcement team and
a Detective assigned to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department cold case
task force are also a part of this Unit.
