TUCSON, ARIZONA – November 5, 2025, Pima County Attorney Laura Conover has released the following statement regarding the death of Christopher Scholtes and the court appearance scheduled for earlier today.
Upon confirmation of his death, our Deputy County Attorneys Hayley Weigold and Brad Terrace, along with our victim advocate and Chief of Detectives Fabian Pacheco, notified the next of kin.
The Phoenix Police Department is currently conducting its own investigation into the death of Mr. Scholtes. The video statement from PCAO is attached below, with details that can be found here.
