Week 215

This week highlighted accountability, cross-border teamwork, and united action on homelessness and fentanyl in our community.

#WeekInJustice: Week 215

This week at the Office:

• Another very complex and difficult Domestic Violence felony trial requiring a survivor to testify to her experiences. These trials take so much out of every participant. But this kind of accountability is a disruption to a type of violence that can escalate. Congratulations to Ryan Klee and team on a significant victory.

• Our own Chief Detective Fabian Pacheco presented in front of the annual PISA Conference (Policia Internacional Sonora Arizona) in front of over 300 law enforcement and partners on both sides of the border. It is a great reminder that 88-CRIME is here to assist when you need to make an anonymous crime report.

• The Metro Group we started back in 2023 to bring both City and County to the table to continue monitoring the homelessness and fentanyl crisis on our streets, met again yesterday. These conversations are difficult, among a group of very diverse thinkers, but we have something most communities our size don’t have: City and County heads of government talking to each other.

To be continued,
