TUCSON, ARIZONA – August 28, 2023 – The Pima County Attorney’s Office will begin taking applications for Anti-Racketeering Revolving Funds (ARRF) to support crime prevention efforts in September.
The fall cycle of applications will be taken from September 6 through October 15. Those interested in obtaining the ARRF funds can learn more about the program and application process in a virtual information session by clicking here (https://forms.office.com/g/fxt1s34kgf) to register. The virtual information session will be hosted on Zoom beginning at 12 p.m. on September 6^th.
The maximum award available through the ARRF, which is funded by law enforcement seizures of cash and property obtained through illegal enterprises, is $2,500. Funding priority will be granted to:
* Initiatives that focus on second chance or vulnerable population housing and protecting elderly residents from the effects of crime.
* Initiatives that focus on overdose prevention and Narcan distribution.
* Initiatives for youth engagement and efforts to cut into the school-to-prison pipeline.
* Organizations that have not received ARRF funding in the past.
While attendance at the virtual information session is not required to apply for the funds, it will provide step-by-step instructions, on what types of projects qualify for these federal funds as well as a breakdown of the approval process by the Pima County Board of Supervisors.
Attendees may submit questions in advance, and any questions asked during the virtual session will be answered on an FAQ page posted on the Pima County Attorney’s website (https://www.pcao.pima.gov/community-outreach/) https://www.pcao.pima.gov/ after the session.
