Two Year Anniversary

#WeekInJustice: Week 106

We have officially marked the two-year point for this administration of the People’s Office, and we have been reporting out data all week.

We released the Year Two Review to the People, and that can be found here and provides links to additional reports and data about some of our highlight accomplishments of 2022.

At the State of the State address, where Governor Katie Hobbs gave her first annual address in Tucson, the Metro Chamber of Commerce thanked PCAO for our concentrated efforts on small businesses and our dedication to the Coalition Against Retail Theft.  Community Protection Bureau Chief Josh Moser and Fraud Chief Julia Kaiserman have made a profound impact in their dedicated prosecutions, and Community Outreach Coordinator Sofia Blue has created strong bonds with the business community both big and small.

Today I reported on all this and much more at my quarterly appearance on the Bill Buckmaster show where I take questions from journalists and the public.   That link is already available here.

MLK Day has always been a very special day for my family and friends.  Rain or shine we’ll be out there for what will be my 23rd March in Tucson.  And the day is filled with opportunities to serve our community.  Check out our partners at the United Way here: https://unitedwaytucson.org/mlk-day-of-service/

And oh my, who is that pictured there at United Way in the back row, far right?!  Oh yes of course, Arika Wells, the PCAO Chief Administrator in charge of finance, budget, HR, and Facilities.  Arika (pictured below) is one of many PCAO People always out in the community helping.

Happy long weekend all.

To be continued, Laura
