A milestone celebration honoring 50 years of the Victim Services Division highlighted how a pioneering effort launched in 1975 transformed victim support in Pima County and helped reshape the criminal justice system nationwide.

PCAO prosecutors, staff, and partners worked tirelessly this week—securing justice in a high-profile bomb threat case, supporting reentry efforts, assisting TPD in an arrest, mentoring future attorneys, and welcoming new interns.

A routine jury summons turned unexpectedly personal and humorous when I found myself in the jury pool for a case prosecuted by my own team at the Pima County Superior Court.
