To a great co-worker, and better friend.

#WeekInJustice: Week 119

We have justice updates from this week that we will save for next, because today our focus is on the office:

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Pima County Attorney’s Office IT staff member Ken Voell.

Ken Voell worked for PCAO IT for the past 15 years. In that time, he worked with many units, from Juvenile to Misdemeanor, Felony, and Victim Services, helping to create and maintain the software applications for The People’s Office.

He was our resident OSHA and Safety inspector for the 18th floor and took the safety of our staff very seriously. Ken was also a driving force with our Prosecution by Karpel launch, helping to make our transition to a paperless office as seamless as possible behind the scenes.

Our office will gather with Ken’s family tonight to celebrate and remember who they now call “The Late, Great Ken Voell.”

I sit in gratitude for his service and camaraderie the many years he dedicated to the people of Pima County. He left us far too young, but he left the Office in a better place than when he started.

As simply and beautifully stated by his team, “he was a great co-worker and a better friend.”

To be continued,

Laura
