Arizona Prosecuting Attorney's Advisory Council (APAAC)

#WeekInJustice: Week 130

The People’s Office sent a contingent of excellent attorneys to Phoenix this week for the Arizona Prosecuting Attorney’s Advisory Council (APAAC) meeting and came back with hardware showing that we aren’t alone in recognizing the value they bring to the citizens of Pima County.

The annual conference brings together prosecutors from offices throughout Arizona and takes time out to recognize those who stand out in the crowd. As is typical, there were PCAO stars among them.

  • Hayley Weigold of our Special Victims Unit was recognized by her peers with the Guardian of Freedom Prosecutor Award.
  • Tai Summers, also with Special Victims, took home the Excellence in Victim Advocacy Award
  • Dale Cardy, our Juvenile Unit Bureau Chief, was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award

We couldn’t be prouder of the recognition these three stellar lawyers received this weekend and we know that they are surrounded by PCAO attorneys who also shine in their roles at the Legal Services Building.

Now, as you all prepare for what we hope is a safe and happy Independence Day holiday, we invite you to check out our June Newsletter, which has information about a lot of good things our office did this past month. If you enjoy what we have to share this month, please consider signing up for our monthly newsletter.
